Nancy Kvam earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and violin performance with music teaching certification (K-12).
She completed her Master of Music Education with emphasis in violin and viola performance, chamber music, Suzuki String training, gifted education, special education and music therapy. She has many years of experience in music performance and instruction.
Nancy has studied with: the Guaneri String Quartet, the Beaux Arts Trio, Kato Havas, and Concertmasters of the Saint Louis Philharmonic, San Francisco Ballet and San Jose Symphony.
Nancy teaches private students and ensemble groups in her private string studio in Santa Cruz. She works in the Music Department at Cabrillo College and teaches in the Cabrillo Strings/Suzuki Music Program.
Nancy directs the Baroque/Classical and Contemporary Music Ensembles through Cabrillo Stings/Suzuki Program. She has been Director/Co-Director of the Hartnell College Suzuki Music Program. Nancy has ten years experience teaching in public and private school string programs.
